Family summer outdoor sessions

Families from around the Fellfoot Forward area and beyond joined Stomping Ground CIC for four days of outdoor play in Cumwhitton, Castle Carrock, Hayton and Hallbankgate. A wide range of activities were laid out, including hapa zome leaf printing, mini raft building, bug hunting and much more.

Stomping Ground are experienced at creating welcoming spaces where creativity and collaboration are encouraged. Because of this, the sessions were run under an ethos of child led play, where participants were encouraged to explore the spaces and activities for themselves. Children were able to connect with local green spaces in new ways, and parents welcomed the opportunity to get together in person and be outside, something particularly welcome after the events of last year.
