The WildWatch North Pennines project has supported the creation of three new wildlife groups, championing wildlife across the North Pennines AONB.
The three groups are; Weardale Wildlife Group, Allen Valleys Wildlife Group and Alston Moor Wildlife Group. Each have a working group supported by a wider number of wildlife enthusiasts in the area.
The groups are actively involved with habitat and species surveys and are increasing the records held for wildlife across the North Pennines AONB. The groups are also great at organising wildife walks, workshops and events.
