The 'Birdwatching in the North Pennines' guide has been produced by the AONB Staff Unit to highlight the importance of the area for birds and to promote it as a destination for birdwatchers and people with a general interest in wildlife .

It describes the characteristic birds and habitats of the AONB and is an excellent introduction to the joys of birdwatching in this outstanding area for birds.

The 106-page book includes a series of 17 walks and sites where you can expect to see typical North Pennines' birds, together with essential information on nearby facilities and fact files about birds, other wildlife and historic features.
