Opportunities
The North Pennines offers a host of opportunities to discover the area by bike. Routes vary from car-free level trails suitable for families to more challenging moorland singletrack and steep surfaced minor roads for experienced mountain bikers, road cyclists and cycle tourists.
Day Rides and Touring Routes
From day rides from Middleton-in-Teesdale, Alston, Allendale and Stanhope to the three-day 'Wheels to the Wild' touring route there are a wide range of publications and guides available. And NEW for 2010 is a guide to the Packhorse Trails - five stunning routes that take in the very best of the area's amazing scenery!
