Join us on a two-day workshop to learn about North Pennines moths found in grassland habitats led by moth expert Dave Grundy. Participants will undertake mainly indoor sessions, identifying live specimens collected from moth traps undertaken over the weekend from a variety of flower-rich meadows, quarry sites, flower-rich mires and riverbanks in Teesdale. A live evening trapping session will be undertaken on Friday and Saturday night that participants can attend should they wish. The course is suitable for beginners, as well as more experienced naturalists who wish to develop their knowledge of this group. Email us for further information.
£60, or £50 concessions (unwaged, e.g. student/benefits/retired)
This workshop is part of the Cold-blooded and Spineless project, celebrating and recording invertebrates in the North Pennines AONB.
