Join the Cold-blooded and Spineless project for a photography safari with local photographer and invertebrate recorder, Ian Beddison. Photography is becoming an increasingly useful tool to support invertebrate recording and share with others the beauty and complexity of invertebrates. Ian will show participants how to use field craft skills to get up close to invertebrates without disturbing them, allowing an insight into their natural behaviours. Specialist equipment is not required, these techniques can work with all types of photography, including compact and phone cameras.
Photographing invertebrates in a way which enables positive identification, right up to species level, will also be explored. This safari will give participants the confidence and ability to take nature watching to the next level.
Booking is essential as places are limited.
