Raby Castle

This 14th century castle has been home to Lord Barnard's family since 1626. 

Impressive

Highlights include an impressive gateway, a vast hall, a medieval kitchen and a Victorian octagonal drawing room. The rooms display fine furniture, artworks and elaborate architecture.

Tearooms

Enjoy the deer park, walled gardens and carriage collection. Sample the menu in the stable tearooms. Events take place throughout the summer

Opening times

  • Easter weekend: Sat to Mon
  • May, June and Sept: Sunday to Wed (guided tours Mon to Wed)
  • July and August: Daily except Sat

Entrance fees

  • Castle, park and gardens: £10 adults, £9 concessions, £4.50 child (aged 5-15)
  • Park and gardens: £6 adults, £5 concessions, £2.50 child (aged 5-15)
