Lowbyer Manor Country House was built on land once owned by the 3rd Earl of Derwentwater in 1778 and is a Grade II listed property. The building has had many uses, for example back in 1881 the Manor was a private girls' school. Located in Alston, the highest market town in England, it is a welcoming country house offering accommodation of exceptional value.
Four-Star guesthouse
The Manor now rated by the AA as a four star guest house, is non smoking throughout and has nine beautifully appointed en suite bedrooms, each with colour television, clock/radio alarm, hair dryer and hospitality tray. Set in three quarters of an acre of well tended gardens which are host to a beautiful Sequoia tree.
Comfortable lounge
Guests have use of a comfortable lounge with log fire and there is a licensed bar for residents. Breakfast includes some local produce and is served in the handsome breakfast room.
