Cromer House Barn

This fantastic self-catering barn is found in the village of Frosterley, Weardale. The barn holds a Gold Award in the Green Tourism Business Scheme (GTBS).

A perfect Weardale base

This is a family friendly 18th century character barn situated in the heart of Frosterley village within the Conservation Area ideally located for walkers, cyclists and families visiting the North Pennines AONB. It is located in a quiet secure courtyard and sleeps four to five, including dedicated accessible accommodation for one disabled person if required.

The barn enjoys good local amenities, including a very good local Co-op, two pubs, excellent fish and chip shop, and is close to the Weardale railway, the village hall and the village playground/playing field.

Facilities

The barn has a well-equipped kitchen, toilet/shower wetroom with full disabled access, wood-burning stove and solar panels which provide heating and hot water via a thermal store, and access to a washing machine. There is safe off-road parking and secure cycle storage. A cot and highchair can be provided if required.

The barn can sleep four in an upstairs bunk room (which can double as a family room), and one downstairs. You can bring your own sleeping bags, or for an additional cost we can provide bedding.
