Beckleshele self catering cottage is off the beaten track at 1,400ft high in the atmospheric moorlands of Upper Weardale in the heart of the North Pennines. It is a converted lead miners cottage and is on the site of the highest known Norman summer hill farm.
The accommodation is for four to six people and is four star rated.
High standard
It is furnished to a high standard with two bedrooms (one double with ensuite shower, one twin bedded); a separate bathroom; a large well equipped kitchen/diner with open fire; an upstairs lounge with magnificent views across Weardale and a double sofa bed for extra guests.
Ideal base
Beckleshele is on the Weardale Way and is an ideal base for walking or birdwatching and is a perfect retreat to chill out and enjoy the tranquillity and stunning views.
